Confession: I always feel unworthy to paint sonograms of babies who were miscarried. How can I truly capture the beauty and life that is present, especially when the sonogram is the only picture his/her parents will ever have. It breaks my heart. But it is a way for me to love and to pray, so I swallow my self-doubt and let God get to work. This baby girl was miscarried at 14 weeks and it was an honor to celebrate her life through this painting.

Hey friends- Just wanted to share this article from a @worldvision magazine. It may be hard to read in this small picture but EVERYONE should- it's the best thing I've read and it has completely motivated and inspired me to fight injustice and brokenness with my creative best. The article quotes Galatians 6:4-5--"Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don't be impressed with yourself. Don't compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life." This is the reason I paint.  Had a great time at the art exhibit last weekend. The show will be on display at the Saint Vincent Gallery until December 4. There's so many great pieces to see!
